I remember I got modded on Final Fantasy 7 board for asking about the origin of Bahamut or something. It was modded for off-topic posting, even though it was about a character in the game. But I was told that anything not pertaining to gameplay was considered off-topic.

Meanwhile, the "Chocobo Billy's Chocobo Ranch - Part 17" roleplaying topic was allowed to stay up. But of course, you're not allowed to point out moderation hypocrisies in even the most flagrant examples...

It's a good one in terms of a minigame because it's incredibly simple to understand and do.

It took me forever to figure out how to lockpick in Skyrim, and then it turned out to be because of a glitch making it not work right.

The whole "so many moons" design seems like it was meant to work more with playing this as a portable title. Grab a moon or two during a short break/using the bathroom/etc. and then come back later. It only feels overwhelming if you push yourself to do EVERYTHING as part of a long gaming session.

Oh yeah, I forgot that there were exclusive little scenes in this section. You picked a great party to see them.

The chainsaw is a fun weapon, mostly because if you keep using it you'll see Edgar put on a Jason-esque hockey mask which is incredible.

Shadow is a bit unique in that he has a random chance to leave your party after every battle. So it's possible for him to straight up ditch you when he feels like it.

Incidentally, you'll have another chance to bring Shadow in your party soon, but you'll need to leave an empty space in your party to do so. It's not really worth it though, because he can still just randomly leave at any time. BUT, if you sleep at an inn with him in your party, you have a random chance of seeing into his dreams...

Most anime use licensed music for their theme songs. Anime openings and endings have become more of an excuse to cross-promote and increase interest for the show by making a music video with a popular artist than as a means of summarizing the themes of the show

In the original version the soldiers beat Celes while she was held captive. It was censored out in the re-release.

I pretty much never use Runic for whatever reason. Probably because Celes can cancel the spells your party does as well. In retrospect, there are probably a few battles where it's really useful I just never bothered.

Also, in the next dungeon be sure to use Sabin's Meteor Strike move against the boss. No real reason, just because it's fun.

Correction, it's easy to go through multiple playthroughs without ever seeing one.

I remember I got one by accident on like my fifth replay and was like "What the fuck is that? ...Oh yeah, there's limits in this game".

Auto-Crossbow seems to be very useful.

Tools are like so ridiculously broken it's incredible. It one, of many, of the reasons Edgar is one of my favorite characters.

I save and leave it here but my plan is to go to Locke first (I'm assuming you get to do all 3), let me know if I definitely shouldn't or something.

It doesn't really matter what order you do them in, although as far as length and how interesting the scenarios are: Terra's is the shortest and most unimportant, while Sabin's is the longest and, imo, most interesting.

surprisingly the plot actually continues if you say no three times! I'm given the Genji Gloves (!) and honestly I might actually prefer the writing for this, Terra being a reluctant participant in the heroics is kinda more interesting! Really appreciate that they wrote this out.

There's lots of fun hidden stuff in the game like that. There's one random moment in this section where you can find a piece of paper and leave it lying around and Bannon will get ticked off at people not cleaning up their trash during his cutscene.

Doom 2016 is kind of interesting because I found it way harder when I played it more passive and defensively. You get rewarded with more health and ammo for being aggressive and can be overwhelmed by enemies if you try to hide and find cover as opposed to rushing in at trying to kill them at your own risk.

Basically whenever I was having a difficult time my natural inclination was to play safer, which only made things even harder. But if I decided to simply go full Leeroy Jenkins and run around and blast away recklessly I made it out okay.

Terry in New York reminded me a lot of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and other "cartoon characters in real life footage" stuff which admittedly is a pretty good indicator of how good the animation is.

So I heard that one of the easiest ways to tell if someone is faking vision loss is to flash money in front of them. No matter how well they practice ignoring other telltale signs of seeing things, it's extremely difficult for human beings to ignore noticing money just because of how ingrained it is for us to recognize its importance.

I feel the same thing happened in that video when he saw a 1up in Bowser in the Sky. He immediately twitched and made a move for it, realized what he had done, and then ignored it and pretend he didn't see it. Like with money, extra lives are just something we're sort of trained to seek out and are difficult to pretend to not notice.
